10 KW Kenya Project, Solar Panel Metal Roof Mounting Structure

Following is one currently finished for one Kenya mounting project for metal roofs .

The installing site is located in suburbs of Nairobi city , the capital of Kenya .

Basic mounting technical parameters as following :

(1) The total installed capacity for this solar engergy system is 10.8 KW ,
Using 40 units of polycrystalline PV modules, 270 Wp,
Size 1648mm x 990mm x 35mm ,
Module orientation is landdcape arraying ;

(2) The roof structure is corrugated metal roof , tilt angle 15 degree , symmetrical ridge roofing type ,
Each face will install 2 Row x 10 Columns (20 units of solar panels) ;

(3) Since Nairobi belongs to tropical savanna climate ,
there is no necessary to consider Snow loading parameter,
the wind loading is 30 M / S for this project ;

Base on specification above, we choose L foot clamp with aluminum rail system for this mounting order .

The BOM ( Bill of Material ) is as following :

(1) Aluminum Rails 40 units ;

(2) Mid clamps 40 units ;

(3) End clamps 80 units ;

(4) L foot metal clamps 120 units ;

(5) Self-tapping screws 120 units ( Self-Drilling);

(6) Stainless Grounding Clips 40 units ;

(7) Copper Grounding Lugs 40 units ;
